Despite the fact that this stuff is pretty cheap compared to some stuff I've seen on here, it sounds great!! I have gotten many tone compliments from musicians and non-musicians alike.

  • at 8ohm the Epifani gives 350W (RMS)
  • while at same load the 2R gives 450W

Anyways, dream setup for bi- to tri-weekly rehearsal and small gigs.
I am using this with both BG and DB... it's great.
For more power and wind, I simply swap the cab for the Epifani UL410. At 4 ohm, 800W is plenty of reserves!

Still kicking myself in the @$$ for selling that cab. Sounds like you're getting maximum enjoyment. Sweet little rig!!

Those Yamaha cabs rock, I originally got one just to use as a small light practice deal and to take to play in churches. I was greatly surprised about how LOUD and how good it sounded, so much so I decided to order another one. Heh I'd almost be tempted to order two more and run my power amp down to 2 ohms on each side, but I think if I was going to do that I'd prob look more into picking up some 1x12's later.

IME/IMHO, yes, the UL-110 is a better overall cab than the Yamaha, but the Epi certainly doesn't blow it away, and when you look at the price disparity, the Yamaha 1x10 is extremely impressive.

I wish the Yamaha was 10 lbs lighter and 8ohms. I also wish I would've picked one up when they were on MF. I'm not seeing them now.

I see that!!! And it was listed last night. Only reason I didn't jump on 2 is b/c I don't want to run my amp at 2 ohms. Dern!! Amazing deal while it lasted.

Well...GC dot com will have at least one when the cabinet I just shipped back (before getting caught up on this thread) arrives at their receiving dock.

I am still amazed at how heavy that little cabinet is...38 lb shipping weight. It did sound good, but I found a cosmetically challenged Sonic B210T that I like better.

The weight is what held me at bay. If I had the extra flow and needed to locate those strategically for practice and gigs, it would have made sense to get a couple.

I'm a fan of the cosmetically challenged and/or used gear (not abused).

That's a Boss VF-1. It's a multi-effects unit that also works very well as a preamp. I've yet to post a thread about it, but the whole thing is a stereo rig: I'm running between two preamps (the Bass Buddy and the VF-1) into the Looperlative which is stereo, out to the QSC PLX21104, which runs a different channel into each cab. The Looperlative and the VF-1 are controlled by a MIDI foot controller, and I switch between them by using a footswitch attached to the MIDI A/B box you can see between the two preamps. That's a Radial Duplex for recording on the side of the rack. Everything in the rack is shallow as well, so the rack is just a 10.75" deep effects rack.
