That's a reasonable request, and I'm more than happy to oblige. It will be extra innings, in Seattle, with the roof open, on an unusually balmy and clear late October evening. Fans from Atlanta will be shivering, of course. The locals will be luxuriating in a 50 degree heat wave to go along with the long awaited World Series title. But, the Braves will make them work for it. It will go to 12 innings, and Ichiro, who will be activated for the playoffs under mysterious circumstances, will get the last out as a pitcher. Then he will win the game with a walk-off hit. A slap single, of course, and the winning hit will travel about 35 feet, maximum. It will be a thrilling game, and emergency rooms all over the nation will be filled up with coronary patients after it's over.

My Florida Gators, and the Cubs, both took 2-2 games into the 11th inning tonight. Florida hit a walk off homer to beat Auburn in a best of 3 series to send them to Omaha!

A few minutes later, the Cubs started a 5-run scoring binge in the top of the 11th that led to a victory over the Brewers and put them in first place.

'Twas a good evening.

Mets released Adrian Gonzalez (even though he had a better BA, and more home runs and RBIs than Jay Bruce). Word on the street is they are trying to convince Jose Reyes to retire gracefully, but he would rather go to another team.

This is the year for sticks and balls in Seattle. The Husky softball team made it to the CWS. The Husky baseball team is now in the CWS, and the Mariners are headed for a World Championship. I'm pretty happy right now. October will never come, so my bubble will never get burst.

I got invited to the Mariners game Wednesday. I was really hoping for Thursday, but the Angels will be a good game.
If this keeps up, M's tickets are going to be hard to come by here shortly.
