MLB 2019

I doubt it will happen, but I would love to see the Rays or As make it to the series.
I like both teams but for some strange reason I’ve been a fan of the A’s since the 70’s. Money Ball or not, they seem to be a perennial contender. Reggie, Vida Blue, Catfish. They’ve had some great players. And Rickey Henderson (IMO) was the best lead-off hitter I’ve ever seen. And that wild and crazy guy Chuck Finley. Four strikes and day-glow orange balls. Bonus points if you know who Harvey the Rabbit was. No, not the drunken hallucination.

I have been waiting for your Minshew comments about last Sunday. You have been suspiciously quiet!

I can't say I have ordered a Minshew jersey yet, but evidently I'm one of the few that hasn't. He is becoming a cult figure.

Actually, it's big kick in the butt to watch this young man break all expectations for rookie QBs...and in the process, confirm that air raid QBs can succeed in the NFL.

I love the shirt! R.I.P. Robert Hunter. :(

I came back from a beer run, and I told my Bride that the shirt had led to a cool conversation with a Father of 4...”a real nice Deadhead...”

She interrupted me at that moment with “Well, that’s a report from your Department Of Redundancy Department!”

Yeah, I'm a but about ballpark information, so I heard of it.

I just like underdogs. The As are the ultimate underdogs.

I loved that wildcard race. You had the As, who always manage to pull someone off the scrap heap, the Indians, who owners decided to be sellers, but the player's said @&(&@ you, and Tampa, who took on the Yankees and Red Sox, the ogres of the AK, and almost beat them both. Sorry @GonePlaid but they deserve a better fan base (or more like you).

I don't disagree. Their venue is a bit.., er, pain to get to on a weeknight. Hopefully the owner(s) will loosen their purse strings and at least contribute to another, more accessible, location.[I'm not holding my breath] They're well loved, but rush hour traffic through Tampa is miserable. I've been to 2-3 Friday games. Hafta leave almost 2 hours b4 first pitch. Last time we went(on a Saturday)a car fire reduced the I-275 bridge from 3 lanes to one, right after a merge point.:banghead:

Unfortunately, as I said before, they have the second smallest attendance per game in the MLB. I don't blame them in some respects, with the lousy stadium, but I don't see them staying there long term, unfortunately.
