Rockies to sign Kris Bryant
Huh. I guess he'll be the face of the franchise. He's not signing up to be on a very good team though, unless they have more moves in store.

They traded Jon Grey and brought in a back of the rotation starter. I think they have one pitcher coming up. Not sure that will make much difference.
I figured they were short 3 arms and a 3B. Long ways to go. Maybe we can trade the owner
The Mariners still need a solid arm for the rotation. I sure hope they sign another bat, but they have a decent lineup already now if Suarez hits well all season.
Six years. He's already 32. It's baseball, so that's probably not such an awful deal for the Dodgers.
The last couple years of the deal might not be great value for the team, because everyone declines eventually, but it will be worth it if they win a World Series or two during the first 3-4 years of the deal. Also, Freeman doesn't play a premium position in the field and doesn't appear to be slowing down at the plate just yet. As long as he doesn't fall off a cliff or get a freak injury, it should work out fairly well for LAD.
I saw a thing on The Athletic today about Robbie Cano -- there's a name I completely forgot about! He's 39 this year and still owed $48 million over the next two seasons (and I think the M's are still paying a small portion of that..?) That's a bad deal, though I must say I'm curious to see how he plays this year, see if he has anything left in the tank. I'm doubtful.

There are some folks in the baseball world that don't believe Pujols was actually only 32 years old when he signed that deal. But even if his age was not falsified, a 10-year, $250 million deal for a 32 year old player was never a good idea 
Well, I didn't see Correa signing in Minnesota..! I assume his goal is to play well enough to opt out in a year or two and sign a mega-deal elsewhere. I didn't expect the Twins to do much this year, but the division is weak so maybe they can find their way back to the postseason with Correa.
I'm also a bit surprised about the deal that Philly gave to Castellanos. He doesn't have that many good seasons under his belt.

Sadler is gone for the season. That sucks. He won lots of games for the Mariners as a setup man. It's an undervalued role, but he was brilliant at it last season. The good side of things is Julio Rodriguez. I don't know how they are going to keep him off the major league roster. That's a good problem to have. The Mariners might not need any more trades. Famous last words.
