Congratulations to the Diamondbacks. They came out looking hungry and played aggressively. Their pitching stepped up when it counted. I’m hoping they make it to the WS.
I think the teams that had time off should simply play better!These were some of the best teams in the league across the 162 game regular season. They're legit good teams. A few days off should not make them fall to pieces.
re: the postseason format: I'm not in love with the new Wild Card series either. Some of these teams, like my dumb Blue Jays, just weren't good enough to even be there. Those games felt like a waste of everybody's time. I'd love to go back to the days where it was just three division winners and one Wild Card (no play-in game), and after the regular season we go straight to the Division Series.
Braves were hot as a firecracker for over 4 months but started struggling about mid Sept. Wasn’t the layoff necessarily, they just haven’t been able to shake the slump yet. Will they get it back in time? Better do it tonight or no.

You don't want him. Farhan should be gone after next season as well. Their plan of platooning players to different positions and bullpen games doesn't work. Let players stay in one position and get really good there. Look at the SFGiants dismal defensive performance this year. Teams should not be run by computer stats but by real managers who have the guts to lead and inspire a team.
Bruce Bochy is in the playoffs and so is Dusty Baker. Where is Dave Kapler?

Braves have quite the edge tonight going by the starting pitchers.
Strider. If we can stay ahead or tied through 4-5 innings Braves should be good tonight. Phils are tough.
Hard to say. The same should have been true in game one. The Braves got the extra off days for winning the division and had time to set up their rotation. Just looking at the starters, you’d favour the Braves. But when you consider the bullpens too, that combo of Ranger Suarez + the Phils’ nasty relievers, that’s tough even against the stacked Braves lineup.
Beauty catch just now by Harris in CF! That guy’s made a name for himself this October, that’s for sure.

I hate the Phillies/Braves series. As a Met fan,I don't want either team to win. But I don't want either team to lose,because that means the other would win...

Actually, they are my second team. My father moved out there, and a few times he, my son, and I attended a game there before he passed.

I dig that they got it done in the throwback uni's, I remember them visiting the Cubs in those back in the day . . . and Mike Schmidt hammering moon shots out of Wrigley.
Snit forgot to tell the Braves you don’t get easy wins in playoffs. Sad.
