Framber did his best Clayton Kershaw impression today. Gave up 4 in the first, and one more in the third before Baker hooked him. Also found this amusing:
Make that 7-0. Rangers won last night (Monday). One more and they tie the 2014 Royals for the postseason record. Royals were a wild card as well.
i wouldn't mind so much the astros choking away their postseason to the orioles or the mariners. we all know how tough it is to repeat in the 21st century. but not to the bloody rangers, geez. beisbol is cruel ~
Beisbol is an evil, frustrating, brutally disappointing sport of endless failure. If it wasn't, we would suffer less. But for some reason, we love it anyway.
It's beginning to look like a Phillies - Rangers series. Good thing it is football season. I have Washington and Michael Penix to pay attention to now. That helps drown my sorrows over the Mariner's exit without even making the playoffs.

Another night I can't root for anyone. I don't like the Astros, including the fact that I think Verlander stuck it to the Mets, but even though I like underdogs, I can't root for the Rangers since I think Scherzer stuck it to the Mets.

I haven't the vaguest interest in any of the teams playing. I have a soft spot for the Braves but they're out too. I'll stream something or watch Dancing With the Stars.
I'm starting to feel pretty confident about this prediction..! You never know though.
How about this as an option: The Rangers go a perfect 9-0 in the WC, ALDS, and ALCS, only to get swept away in the World Series by the Phillies? It still involves your Astros losing, of course, but seeing the Rangers get beat down in the WS could offer some comfort
I don't really want to like the Phillies... I was sad to see the Braves go the way they did... but I can't help but want to cheer for Philly. This team's got that dog in 'em. What a gnarly bunch.

Normally I'm Yankees fan but since they're nowhere to be found I have to adhere to my father's tradition of rooting for Philadelphia teams...Go Phillies.
