Really. It took me a minute to recognize him but the whole interview was excellent watching.
I've always been a big baseball fan in the moment. But everything about that game last night re-energized my interest in the game in general.
Just watched this part and no wonder Reggie is in the headlines. This is a great and important clip: (has two n-words beeped out)
The hit free Mariners managed to drop two of three to the Marlins. Jeez. I was talking to a friend about their lead. We are both well trained Mariners fans and expect it to evaporate eventually. Down to six games. The Mariners can't go forever without a rough patch, but Miami? They should have beaten Miami. On to Tampa Bay. The Rays seem to be a whole lot better team than the Marlins. The Mariners need to snap out of it.
The Blue Jays stink. This season might as well be over. It could be a busy trade deadline in Toronto. They should be a seller. Vlad has quietly been playing very well this season despite the low HR numbers. Other teams should be making offers. Some of their starting pitchers could be of interest to buyers as well.
They're on a six game losing streak and are in last place in the division.
And one of their top position player prospects, who just made his big league debut like a week ago, just received an 80-game PED suspension.
The team hasn't been super fun to watch this summer..!

I have no idea why the Blue Jays got rid of Teoscar Hernandez. Since coming to the Dodgers he has been a clutch RBI hitter machine. Just sayin.

Going to be an interesting trade deadline. With the expanded playoffs, not many teams will be truly out. The price for good players will be high.
I miss Teoscar. He can at times be a defensive liability in the outfield, but he makes up for it with the bat. The Jays’ lineup could really use his power back.
So far, he is doing a really good job in right field. A sports commentator said he appears now to be playing with more zest and enthusiasm since he is now playing for a team that will most likely end up playing in the post season.
Jays were losing tonight—as expected. The score was only 2-1, but a one run deficit is a steep hill for this team to climb 
Then all of sudden they put up a five run inning!? They strung some hits together then Vladdy homered. I was feeling good.

He has been a bright spot this season. Who knows why some teams move good players, who are seemingly good people off the field. My guess is some computer told them he wasn’t that great. Can we please return to the seventies and eighties?

Watching the Cubs at this point has become like being Bill Murray in "Groundhog Day"; no matter what happens *during* the game it always ends badly.
As if the Philthies weren't good enough already, they turned the first 1-3-5 triple play in 95 years yesterday:

Call me a crusty old man, but people have forgotten how to slide. Either they go in head first, which is not faster, causes inuries, and people slide off the bag, or if they go in feet first, half the time the front foot is in theair and misses the bass/plate.
