MLB 2025

I’m happy the Brewers advanced. They’ve had such a good season. I think it’s good for them to have faced some adversity against the Cubs in the DS. Chicago was a tough match up for them but they overcame it. Dodgers/Brewers should be a fun NLCS!

Kudos to the Cubs as well for taking the Brewers to five games after going down 0-2 in the DS. They played really well in the WC games too. Overall a very good season for Chicago. They should be good again next year.

ALCS begins tonight (!!!) at 8pm Eastern 🤩 Who ya got??

I am obviously picking Toronto to win the ALCS and advance to the World Series  I expect the M's to be a big challenge - nothing's easy in October baseball! - but if Toronto keeps playing as well as they did against New York in the ALDS then I think they have the edge. I think Seattle has a better pitching staff than Toronto. So did NY. Toronto's lineup was able to beat them. Similar to NY, Seattle has better power hitting numbers overall. Toronto's pitchers will need to handle that lineup with care. Hopefully their power guys will be coming to the plate with the bases empty most of the time. Solid defense, good enough pitching, and a relentless attack from the lineup. Once again having the benefit of more rest time will of course also help the Jays.

We're in uncharted territory here. I expected to have jumped onto another team's bandwagon by now, most likely Seattle's! But the way the Jays played in the ALDS really changed what I think is possible for this team to accomplish.

I just realized I've been to most of the stadiums from these teams:

Chicago - Wrigley
Milwaukee - It wasn't named American Family at the time, but this stadium
Philadelphia - Citizens Bank
LA - no
NY - the prior Yankee Stafium
Toronto - it was called the Skydome at the time
Seattle - no
Detroit - I went to Tiger Stadium

I've also gone to Fenway Park

Really looking toward to seeing Vladie, Jr. and Cal in what should be a great series. Tough one to take sides in. Two great, likable teams.

With the Cubs losing and the A's homeless, I no longer have a dog in this fight.

I'd give a slight edge to the Jays in the ALCS, if only because it'll take two games for the M's pitching to recover from the 15 inning game on Friday. But it could go either way.

Pulling for the Brew Crew all the way in the NLCS... the Dodgers are sure stacked but can be beaten.

What a great time of year.

You and me both. I am all in for Seattle now and all in for whoever wins this series in the World Series.

After watching the pregame, the game, and now the post game, I have the distinct feeling no one at FOX wants the Mariners to win.
Listening to Jeter and Ortiz go on and on how the Mariners had no shot to win this game or the series and then on and on why was nauseating. A-Rod made an effort, but there was no slowing the other two down.
Even the guys on the broadcast were shocked. One of them said he couldn't believe the Mariners won. When Arozarena stole those two bases, Maddux made some smart mouth comment about how stolen bases don't matter since Seattle doesn't score runs that way. Guess what Greg? Jorge has something to tell you.
