MLB 2025

What a game last night! I was worried for the bullpen after Bieber's shaky first inning. But he really impressed me after that. Struck out the side in the 2nd. Got a shutdown inning in the 3rd after the Jays took the lead. Pitched relatively clean innings the rest of the way in the 4th, 5th, and 6th. I'd love to see more of that! His pitch count was 88 when they told him his night was done. I wanted him to get a shot at the 7th since the lead was so comfortable. Oh well. Fisher and Fluharty did decent work out of the 'pen. Not Yariel Rodriguez though 🤕 He had a really good stretch during the season but he doesn't have it right now. I don't think we'll see him come into another game unless it's another blow-out scenario.

The Jays' lineup was really in a groove. When they get rallies going like that it's such a treat to watch. Whatever the outcome of the ALCS (or World Series if they manage to get there), I love this team.

Tonight is going to be an interesting matchup. Does Scherzer have anything left in the tank? He was legit pitching well for a few weeks during the summer. September was not good for him though. If he's got anything left to give, here's to hoping he leaves it all out on the field tonight. The M's have Castillo starting. After he came to Seattle from the Reds, he owned the Jays in his 2022 Wild Card start. Fast forward to 2025: His start in the ALDS was not super sharp; and he was less dominant against the Jays in their regular season meetings this year. I am very curious to see if he can be vintage Castillo again for a night or if the Jays' bats will get to him. Let's go Blue Jays! ⚾
