It’s only been 2 innings but Yesavage has looked much better tonight compared to Game #1. Major difference. Here’s hoping he can stay effective a few more innings!
I couldn't believe the graphic they showed of his release being 7'1" high. Damn!
Kiké Hernandez is such a performer in October. Yesavage didn’t make a great pitch there and he got all of it. Fortunately Yesavage bounced back and struck out Ohtani to end the inning. Nice. 2-1 with lots of ball left to play. More runs please, Blue Jays!
Horrible decision by Teoscar to dive for that ball. Turned a single into a run.
I am a big fan of Teoscar but he can be a maddening player to cheer for. When he’s slumping or having misadventures in the outfield, it’s rough. Then he hits a bunch of HRs and you love the guy again. Gotta take the bad with the good.
Following his pattern against the Mariners. I didn’t like it then, but I dig it now.
Snell looks like he’s coming off a serious bender, does he always look that rough?
Ha! I thought so too. I don't have a clue since I didn't really pay attention until WS Game 1.
Money buys lots of things, but not a world series apparently. Not even having arguably the best player in the league gets you that trophy.
I suppose I could be totally wrong and LA ends up taking the series, but right now as I lay on my couch, that ain't happening for the Dodgers.
This ultimately means that yes, the Pirates have a chance, haha.

Hooboy, I would sure like to see this go back to Toronto with a Jays series lead.
Heads up base running by Barger this inning. Great reads on balls in the dirt. It felt good to see Bichette get that opposite field single a few batters later. He makes hitting look so easy. Just a pure hitter.
In each of these games, the Jays have had one of these "grind it out" innings... running up the pitch count, putting the ball in play... singles and doubles... taking advantage of miscues. It's terrific to watch.

At times they play that old school NL baseball, 90-feet-at-a-time style. Which I always kinda made fun of as a lifelong AL fan, but damn if it isn’t effective.
