My guess is not. I might be wrong but I could have sworn that was the reason the roscoe beck stopped being produced.

Similar pickups were used on MIA deluxe Precisions and I heard they were not the same as Roscoe Beck's (not true to the Bill Lawrence design).

I definitely like the 1st position a lot!

I would have put the selector under the 2x volumes though, closer to the tone knob...

Amp Head Warwick ProFet 5.2 + Tecamp L410. but 0.5 at volume..

Iv forget to show the sound of the 4th position (jazz bass only)

sound is bad from smartphone, but really good in really ! you can believe ! amazing for the price !

I like the looks.. and the truss rod... I sort of need a mapleneck 1 PUP bass... mmmmm
And its pretty cheap in price... but if its Musicman weight of 10 poonds NOPE. that ain't gonna happen.. but 8 pounds would be perfect

$5 says you never see a Fender J5 that weighs 8lbs.

I've seen plenty of active J5's under 10lbs; and have several now at 9 or less.
I haven't seen many Fenders that weighed 9.5 or less.

8 o 8.5 for a 4string.
I have had two sadoswky 5stirngs that were just a hair over 8 lbs.. One was an early 90s non chambered and the other a chambered.
But Fender... ??

Same here. In fact, anything from 9.0 and under, I'm in.

i had an american deluxe 5 that was stupid light. barely 9 pounds. ive seen some other swamp ash deluxe 5's that were pretty dang light too.

Why do they ALWAYS do the same combos, white/rosewood, 3TS/rosewood, and black/maple???

I want 3TS/Maple, White/Maple, and black/rosewood!!!!!!!!!!!
