11 lbs.. Whewww... I commend you .. If it were a 90 minute show or a 4 hour gig.. That would be like digging a pool with a trowel... Thats hard work! 11 pounds...!

I know .. I asked the guy at an online store (GC) how much a particular Musicman bass weighed.. he said 10 to 10.5 pounds.. I said mmmmm, how does the bass vary its weight? Did you weight it and let the scale settle?.. He said NO, it's what the spec sheet says.. Ohhh. I know what the spec sheet says. But how much does this bass weigh i said?
I asked him if he could weight it in shipping dept to get the actual weight and call me back when he was able.. He said they dont have a scale..
Come on> what Shipping Dept doesn't have a scale?
They didn't sell the bass to me,, even if it was 7 pounds I would never know..and i dont want an 11 pound Musicman5 string that i would never play. HA

In 4 string yes, in 5 string (V) NOT.

The sheet says alder body. Don't see why an 8-8.5 pounder can't be gotten.
Of course, you'd have to factor in the weight of all the glue they used to lam 60 pieces of scrap alder together.

Great video an really nice looking bass. Great idea with the truss rod wheel. Looks like I'll be picking up a 4 string in the future!
My MP V , is very heavy weight.. many buyers will have a bad surprise, great sound cause strong and dense woods, but you robust body is needed ! im 6.0 height so its ok lol

Very nice bass...congrats. I was curious to see the fretjob and how they were laid into the neck. Is it possible to take a pic from the side view. I'm thinking really hard about picking up a 4 banger
