Does anyone else's Quantum eat 9v batteries like potato chips?
My '95 Q5 Sweetspot seems to need new batteries monthly. I play it a lot, but my Bongo and other active basses would still be good for 6-12 months without a battery replacement.
Normal? Potential problem?

Sounds like a short, perhaps one of the wires to the battery is touching the side of the control cavity or it could be one of the lugs on the jack that is touching.
I'm having custom nordy big singles made for my Q5 and I'm fixing to throw a sadowsky pre in there so pretty soon I'll be listing my Bart's and 3 band pre listed. Can wait to hear my quantum bark with singles.
Don't any of you guys ever sell your friggin' Modulus basses?

No, not me. I would never sell my Modulus Quantum. While other basses come and go from my gear, I will probably have my Quantum for the rest of my life. It is and will always be my #1.
Nope. I found a used Quantum 4 today locally! I have been looking for 3 weeks. Modulus basses are hard to find lately.
Hey all, I Bought a 1995 Quantum 4 today with OHSC for $900 out the door. It is nearly mint, trans red with pretty good flamed maple top, EMGs, etc. just curious!
+1 to that. Just got back my VJ4 today after having it gone for two weeks to get the chip in the neck repaired. I can't tell you how much I missed it even though I have an FU4 as well. They're just keepers, that's why they're hard to find

I really wanted a 5/6 but I still play 4s a lot.
I will try to post a pic tonight. Red isn't really my thing, but this one is cool.
Also, the serial # is within 40 of my other Quantum. Kinda cool.
And 1995 is my wedding year!

Thx. Really digging it tonight after cleaning it up and restringing it. Amazing shape for a 1995. Just a Great bass all around.
I loved my Sadowskys, Roscoes, etc.... But man.... A Quantum cuts so well in the mix. I always hated EMGs... But they sound great in this bass and my 5 Sweetspot.
I have said it before with other brands, but Modulus may be it for me.
