After a long stint away from a Quantum, I am back in the game!

I absolutely love my Q4.
The longest that I have been away from it is a week.
I went a one week tour-about and took my Ibanez instead.
I was really sorry I did that and will never do it again.
The Q4 just feels so good to me, it's all I want to play.

That's it! The one I'm saving my pennies for. I bought my Q5 new in 91 and hasn't had an issue ever. Thing is amazing and get complements every time I'm out. Just found this thread so looking forward to reading the previous posts.

Thanks guys, this is one of my keepers, not going anywhere. The feel and playability are awesome as is the sound of the Delanos and John East J-Retro together. This one is named "Bela" as in Lugosi.

Beautiful! My favorite color/PG combo. What do the Delano's add compared to the original pickups?

well, they're higher output. better midrange. real nice aggressive single coil sound.
the barts were dull and lifeless compared to the new delanos. and they're really quiet. that shielding really makes a difference.

I should have the bass in about two weeks and will post photos when she arrives. Apparently, the lathe used specifically to construct the 34" scale necks was destroyed when making mine. Thus, they had to have a new machine built and restart my neck from scratch...

Can't wait to join the mob!

Funny, mine is in the shop as well, getting a chip in the neck finish repaired. Also put Delano pickups on it, but paired it with a J-Retro Deluxe, so no need for a battery box.

What are they charging you for the chip repair?

Only thing I didnt do was the batterybox route. I are a tinkerererer er !
