You were actually the impetus for that thought, we had talked a while ago about it, and I didn't really think I needed it until the gig that night. You also encouraged me on the tuners, which worked out really well. Thanks for the help modding my Mod!
I actually just saw an older Modulus 4 banger in the classifieds and thought of you, did you see it?

Hey, no worries, us mobsters gotta stick together
Yes, I did see that one, but it's a little rough around the edges for me
Couldn't you just have a tech take off the gloss with some fine grit sandpaper? Been thinking about doing that to my VJ. Also, I just got a Babicz bridge and new pups. I noticed you took that stupid logo off of yours. I'd love to do that to mine, however it is chrome though. Suggestions?
Not the same thing. Eventually the gloss will return from wear on a neck with a gloss finish. Has something to do with the composition of the actual finish material - fine vs medium milled solids. Believe me, I tried sanding before I had it refinished - totally different head, totally
In order to remove that overt branding, which I just don't get, they didn't build the guitar or bass, it's a bridge, obnoxious really - but great functionally.
Anyway, I had to sand down to the aluminum underneath using finer and finer grits of sandpaper. You cold probably do the same, but would have to sand the entire bridge plate so that it looked uniformly "brushed" and in the same direction. I also tried chemical removers to no avail. However it is applied, it is tough. Good luck.
EDIT: If you look closely at the photo above, you'll see that I used a matte finish black paint and top coat on the bridge tail piece, the rest of the bridge is the original factory finish, which is very thin and slightly glossy.
