Modulus Mob

Ive been hearing more and more about Circle K's.
Ive been using Boomers and such on my Flea but now im between Circle Ks and DR Sunbeams for my next set....
....which would you prefer

I used the Flea sig Boomers for a short while - they were okay, but went dead pretty quickly which is not a good match for Flea/Funk U.

I've never been a huge DR fan, the nickels never seem to last long for me, but YMMV.

For me, I love feel of the Circle K strings. When I want bright, I want bright, but I don't like the feel of steels - hence why I went to Cobalts for a while, great feel and zing, but too much tension IMO.

The Kalium strings have the zing, feel, last and I really like the balanced tension, makes fingering the D and G much easier without the E and A getting floppy. I also wanted to go to a slightly lighter gauge and found a set that wasn't too light. I went with Link Removed for all my 4 bangers.

I've got Circle K's on my Q6, they're amazing strings and really seem to suit the bass well.

I've used them on several different basses now - different makes - and find they suit pretty much any bass.

EDIT: Good way to save on the cost which is pretty reasonable to me anyway, is to get together with a few buddies and buy in bulk - that is if you can all decide on what set to use :D I don't think they mix and match, but could be wrong.

Here's a shot of my rig with my Turbo, Nothing like tubes an graphite;)

Hey Folks,
I am the prodigal Modulus owner, that thought he would like an Alembic more only to find, yes they are beautiful, amazing craftsmanship, but are a little heavy and cumbersome and not quite as versatile as Modulus. If anyone looking to sell....I have the cash. Chechen Fingerboard and tops desired.

I may consider 6-strings as well.

Sorry if this is old news....
Sorry is this is not truth but....I'll pass it on anyway

I'm getting a pizeo buffer put in my Q5/TBX and the guy doing it (fender gold repairman etc...) said that Modulus was going to get their necks done in China. Yes...slightly hard to believe but not impossible. He said they sent the tools over and the company basically said 'thanks' and 'fu' and that was that.

Sorry if this is complete BS and someone else knows otherwise. I have no reason to not believe this guy....

I was also told by a guy at a music store (can't remember which) that some company had bought Modulus, just like what happened to Music Man before it turned into Ernie Ball Music Man.
By the way, is the pickup placement in the Funk Unlimited/Flea in the exact same position as the Stingray Bass?
