man thats sexy! loving the finish!

I WANT MY MODULUS!

I wish I could join the mob :( One day though...

About a year ago at a trade-show I got a chance to pick up an early 90s mod Q5 that was pretty unique. It had 3 pickups instead of the standard 2, I'd never seen that before in a mod. If only I had the $2k the guy was asking for it.

I think there was actually one of those on this thread somewhere!

Wow, that's beautiful. The color and the quilt almost makes it look like some kind of stone. And the fingerboard looks amazing.

Coil taps?

Velvet blue over red finish, 5A quilted maple, chechen board, 3-way coil tap, and 400/800hz mid switch and push/pull on the volume for active/passive. And that Aggy OBP-3 preamp. :)

And the ONLY thing I don't like about the coil taps is the pretty significant volume drop. When I was practicing at church last night, I didn't use the full-on humbuckers b/c it drove a little hot. I just switched between the outer and inner coils and for that setting, sounded a lot better.
Live, and and on the rock scene, I'll just leave them both full on as the difference won't be audible like it is when I'm running DI-IEMs + Aviom setup.

I am having a huge tear in my emotional stability. I searched for my Mod G5 for a while and I bought one. It has been my main bass for about 6 or 7 months now and I really enjoy playing it. Here is my problem, I played my G4 today. I had forgotten how much I really love that bass. It is amazing. The feel of the neck, the Jazz 1-1/2" nut width and super tight feel of the spacing. I am thinking about going back to 4 string and playing my G4. It is such a wonderful bass...
