as the old saying goes, "it only takes one buyer"! it's a beautiful machine no doubt.
when geoff ran things back in the early '90's, i would see some of his quantums at a local store in watsonville, ca that had the angled pegs. nowhere else. i assumed also it was a custom request. it looks cool but, unless you're using those drill bit peg winders, putting on a new set of strings is gonna give you carpal tunnel!

Well think about it, if there angled there easier to reach for tuning purposes.
Lol hmmmmmm... Never thought bout it but I guess it makes sense. I've never used a bass with them.
You would think but I'm miming the action and it seems to require an uncomfortable rotation of the wrist to work.
Oh btw if any of you guys who were talking about possibly selling a q5, I'm in the market for one, if the price is reasonable. Let me see em if you are interested! Or a flea bass.

I think the seller is an upright-centric bass shop. Plus it never hurts to ask.

I personally dig the ergonomics of the angled tuners, at least on the bass side. Don't care for the look though.

I literally decided to skim eBay yesterday just for the heck of it. I saw it and I thought I must be seeing things. Double checked to make sure everything was kosher with the seller and I was like BAM! buy it now.
