I take it, yours was a SS then was routed for traditional? Are they in the same spots as dual p/u moddys?

Modified long before I got it. Not the greatest job, but great electronics. Seem to be pretty original kind of Barts. Full set matching front and back. Pretty good cutout for the filler plate in the center as well.

And it looks like your silver burst moddy was originally just like Saetia's, with the ss pickup. Then someone modded it to have the standard Quantum pups.
It was exactly like mine, but mine is a 94. Very cool looking basses though

Damn I loved that bass! Just amazing.
The only tiny issue was the control cover, which could have been fixed in a few min. Rock solid.
I only sold it because of the scale.
The Sweetspot PU placement is truly special.

I got it in a local deal from GoatBass, it is pretty awesome. It's wearing Chromes right now and that has to change stat! Way too much tension on the high strings.
Trying to figure a gauge of Sunbeams that will work good with her.

I just purchased a 20th anniversary Quantum 5. I am beyond stoked about, as I wanted one for years. Can anyone tell me what year that would be. The serial number is simply 20-001. It has an awesome 20th anniversary inlay.

Here is my beautiful and recently acquired Quantum 5. I was thinking of doing a NBD thread on it but I don't really like drawing that much attention to myself...
Anyways, it's by far the best bass I've ever owned and it totally annihilates the Schecter Hellraiser Extreme 5 that I used for the last 4.5 years in every possible way. I'm not sure how old it is but it apparently belonged to a very talented working bassist in the Toronto area that sadly passed away. Got it with the case for only $1800 CAD from a high end audio shop where it was being sold on consignment by the previous owners brother. Not sure if I'll find out who the previous guy was, but could someone at least tell me how to determine its year of manufacture?

for example - 920661 means the bass was made in 1992
First two digits are 01, so I guess it's a 2001 model. Thanks!
Actually didn't you say your serial number was "20-001"?
If it's a 20th anniversary one, I think those were made in 1999 and only 20 were made. The serial in this set actually denotes which one of the lot of 20 it is. So yours would be the first one built.
