Most "embarrassing" song.....

BTW I heard the GROSSEST song either DURING a wedding, or was 1st dance GREAT song, but omg I wanted to gag.
To Sir With Love.

(I walked down the aisle to the Imperial Death March)

Me and my daughter (she is 9) we just talking about how awesome it would be to have a bride walk down to the Imperial March. We were cracking up about the idea (especially if the bride did not expect it). My wife was just rolling her eyes.

The one that popped in to my head was this.
1985. A joint 21st birthday/engagement party. My band were asked to learn it and play it as a fun way of announcing the happy couple's 'extra' surprise news.
The girl's father, once he worked out what it was, turned around and flattened the guy with one punch.
Happily, he got over the shock...the couple are still together!

That stupid "I Love You. You Love Me..." song from that stupid Barney the Dinosaur show. I originally used to play that to amuse my (then- I'm thankfully remarried now) two year old nephew.

Isn't that melody from ANOTHER kids's song though? And people blast Zep for stealing stuff! Geezzzz...

Pulled that melody out on the Bass Guitar in the middle of a gig too!

We were covering "One More Astronaut" by I Mother Earth (lead player IDOLIZED that band!), and right when the a vocal cue was supposed to bring the band back in, I burst into a horrendous Big Muff blast and played that melody over it! The band started laughing so hard (as did the audience) that we had to just stop and realize just how full of ourselves we were getting at that particular show!

Took about 3 full minutes (an eternity when you are in the MIDDLE of a song!) to regain our composure and play this "serious rock song"!

I still chuckle at this (and my co-workers are thinking, "*** is wrong with basscapes over there?").

if you aren't laughing yet...

Lovefool by The Cardigans. It's that, "love me, love me", song from the mid- or late-1990's. It was one of the songs I had to learn when I did some pick ups for a local cover band several years ago. Playing that song felt almost insulting to my manhood.
Been there too!

That is the musical equiv of George Castanza'a "shrinkage" situation...

That was t for a gig/band or w/e, but for no valid reason other thanthan the one in your head, what's the song you probably don't want to admit you learned.
Most recent the better! (c'mom it'll help me feel better about all the junk I'm playing due to where I am, that I HATE, but is helping this or that, and then some that are just downright silly cause I am downright silly)
Dwight Yoakam's Guitars, Cadillacs. That song is the poster child for cheesy-ass country. I shaging despise that song.

Thankfully, I didn't play it at the gig I had to learn it for because the band hates it too.

Mustang Sally. A potent reminder of what my once promising music career has become every time my GD frontman takes the request. (Even he can't stand it, at least, so it's an extreme rarity.)
