Just sat for the last 45 minutes entranced by the videos you guys have up on youtube! Just totally blew me away. That being said, I couldn't listen to it while driving in traffic.

It is awesome though, and I see why the judges didn't want you in their competition. I don't think the vast majority of people who would show up to watch a "battle of the bands" would understand it.....although your crowd was pretty huge in the videos!

Keep doing what your doing! Oh, how much does a xylophone cost any way? Looks way more expensive than my bass!

To be correct: it's a vibraphone (metal instead of wood) made by Yamaha. They're rather pricy, starting around 4500$... :eek:

Have to admit - that came to mind first for me too. Even if it really is "Shotgun" that's terribly unoriginal for a band as interesting as all the other posters are claiming.

I quite Liked ShtGn although I do understand why you might have been turned down for a straight up contest.

Gotta be more 'X-Factors Got Talent Comes Dancing' to be of interest to things like that these days.

The most absurd thing I heard was last year (or was it 3 years ago) when a Maxim review panned the **** out of the new Black Crowes CD Warpaint without actually having heard anything but a preview of one song. Maxim was subsequently bagged on publishing numerous reviews of CD's that they actually hadn't listened to before reviewing including that one.
