Music Man Caprice: True Boutique Quality

I have seen it priced about $250 cheaper than a Classic Stingray.
Ah my bad, must of mixed the prices around. $1699 at MF seems like a pretty good price, a little cheaper than the Fender Elites but slightly more expensive than the American Standards. I wonder how it compares to either Fender model.

I got mine at bass central for less than $1550 and no tax and free shipping..
That's a great price. Did that include the D-Tuner too, or did you put that on yourself?
I will say what I paid for mine when I get it. The Caprice officially cranked my GAS valve wide open!

I bought the Hipshot D Tuner separately from bassstrings online He had the best price and free shipping too. It got to me in 3 days.. . If you get the D Tuner you have to get the SHORT shaft one for this bass.. Bassstringsonline had the long and short ..
I emailed him a photo of the back of the headstock and set me up.
His price was $20 under most other sellers of those D Tuners..
I put it on myself. Takes about 10 minutes Its real simple

Running it into a Sadowsky pedal was on my mind when I watched your vid.

Old Smoothie or a Caprice, this is a heck of a time to have Music Man GAS!
That is a great deal on a Caprice. That person is selling enough cool basses to pay for college!
The thing about the Smoothie is that it's the perfect Ray: it's a Classic Ray with the harsh edges Smoothed over. But the Caprice is passive with that killer Sterling neck profile. Drool.But it's a good brutal!
Oh man. My master plan was to buy a blue and a black, then swap the necks so I could have black/maple and blue/rosewood. I have the blue one ...
But the blue one is so nice I think I wont mess with it.
Maybe someone can point me in the direction of a sound bite with flats because what I heard didn't impress me at all...
