Seriously though, I'm at a point where I can not like a certain song, artist or genre, but still acknowledge that they are good musicians.

Luckily I've matured and now Prince is among my all time faves. Nowadays, if I don't like something, I can appreciate it for what it is, and that not everything is for everyone. I respect Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Cardi B, and others that my wife plays around the house sometimes, but honestly don't like the music much. Then again, as a 50 year old dude, I'm not exactly the target demographic they are shooting for anyway. They are all great at what they do, just not my taste. Likewise, my wife is not exactly bobbing her head and tapping her foot when I kick on some Maiden during a road trip(although I must admit she's a good sport about it.)
