I thought I wanted a P bass 'til I played my first Stingray 5 at GC last weekend. What a cool tone!
They didn't have the color/fretboard option I wanted (Graphite Pearl/Rosewood fretboard), so I ordered one right then. Should be on my doorstep Thurs. I can't wait!

Could I have a number please? Today I ordered a Stingray classic that is going to have a pink breast cancer awareness ribbon custom painted on to it because my wife was just diagnosed with breast cancer. The bass will be used in not only my everyday playing but in future shows to help raise funds for Breast Cancer Prevention. I won't have pics of the bass until I get it though.

I'm so sorry to hear about your wife, my mom beat breast cancer about 10 years ago and it's tough. Hopefully it was found early enough! I'm sure I'm not the only one who wishes you guys good luck/thoughts/prayers.

Normally I'd say we prefer pics before number, but I've got an idea... special case (special Stingray :) ), special number... I could get you on the list with your wife's birthday as your number? I think that'd be pretty cool. Let me know!

Thank you! We believe we caught it early enough that she should be fine after surgery. We are actually hoping that she doesn't even need radiation or chemo but there is still that possibility. My wifes birthday is 08/06/1973.
Thanks!

That's very good news! Pass on our best wishes and good luck to her!

How does #806 grab you?

Make sure to get pics posted, I definitely want to see this bass... I suspect it'll really be something special!

Thanks!

BTW: I'm also sending it out to get plek'd soon. This bass will be a monster killer
playing bass to go along with the looks!

Does the Plek setup differ greatly from the factory setups on the Rays? I always thought the factory setup was really good.

@ Jay Ralston: Sorry to hear that. Sending good energy and hopes for no remissions. I have lost a lot of my family to the C word. I also have a good friend who is on chemo right now for breast cancer and she is as young as your wife as well.
I think it is great what you are doing with your bass.

Thanks you guys. She is a fighter. Her attitude has been quite amazing through this entire ordeal and has really inspired me. #806 is also a good number too.
