3) He has had roadies for his entire career, so the concept of getting the most efficient functionality out of his rig has probably not crossed his mind even once.

There is absolutely no sense or logic to using that Meyer unit "in opposition to" the Enhance and EQ of the Eden pre, except in Phil's mind, and I guess for somebody in a Dead cover band who has to look 100% authentic.

Some people just love to find extremely complicated solutions to fairly simple problems.

Some people just love gear.

In my experience, the more gear you have—the more knobs, buttons and patch cords you use—the better your chances are that something is going to fail... during a gig, of course. I try to keep my setup to minimum, and it certainly make my load in/out more pleasurable.

I suppose we all go through that crazy gear phase at some point... some people just never grow out of it!

You still have an empty rack space ... so your rig can't be done.

All that is in the OP rig is a navigator and a meyer EQ in the same rack. Might be a lot of knobs, and it might be pretty heavy, but those tools have features that can be used in constructive ways. Yeah, you can just use a DI with no EQing and still groove. We all heard that before. But if you have options, you have new territory to explore.

Phil cranks the enhance knob which boosts highs and lows and therefore you have less midrange. He then fills in the midrange hole with mids from the EQ of the Eden.

To me, that seems very much like EQing back to flat which seems like a waste of time....but ... he likes it and it seems to work for him.
Actually I LOVE Phil's sound so it works for me too.

I have a WT-400 and I've never tried as Eden's sound great flat.

Or so i've read...

My old navigator! The eq is awesome all those knobs have a fantastic purpose the total flexibility is very fun

The Compressor is so useful when you're wailing away the LEDs in front let you know if your clip in the board or underpowered , control of your DI volume is awesome.

You're going to be carrying a cab that's around 50 to 80 pounds the whole rack is still lighter than that

Love it great job. Space for a wireless!
