I'd be really curious to hear those reverse split P's that close together.

I do something similar but I use standard P + quad MM bridge with a switch to toggle the MM between humbucker and standard P, but no where as close as you have them. My supposed "perfect gig bass" setup for me due to a lot of cover bands that were rock/dance.

I need to post my #1 also but it's a PJ config.

What styles are you using that in?

I used to call my Pbass my #1 and thought it would be forever.... until I got the Ibanez which is light, perfectly balanced and suited my last band..... and then we recently started a slow blues project specifically for a dance club event coming up and the fretless jazz and Pbass are getting used more while the Ibanez hangs on the wall.

So, it changes depending on the day, the song, the band......
the Jag gets a bit neglected these days and if I'm travelling for work or holidays the one on the far right suddenly becomes #1

It has DiMarzio Model Js in it and its strung with D'Addario Chromes. I love this bass (it was also my first one) and it just sounds like home to me.

The only thing I'd change is that I wish the neck was fatter.

i dig the bass. After experimenting with the pickup placement that’s where I landed. I moved the pickups all over the place between the neck and bridge (on another bass i modded to do just that).
It just came alive in that particular arrangement and placement

At first glance I thought the amp in the Tex Mex pic might’ve been an Alamo before I saw the Fender logo. I played through one at an acquaintance’s house once, and a Mexican lady friend here in Texas showed me an old picture of her father’s band that had a huge one!

Am Pro II. The neck is the best I’ve ever played. Bass weight 8lbs 3oz. I can change electronics and pickups and get the tone that’s right.

But when the neck feels like it was made for your hands, it becomes the #1.

The XL-25 with it's active EMG'S and HAZ electronics is high octane mid range- crazy low action giving killer MWAH. It's companion for it's active HBCS pickups upgrade providing mid-range punch like a stick of butter with razor blades and drop DB lever. Currently using each for two different original songs I'm working laying basic tracks for-

A nice easy action afforded by it's 32 inch scale, a rich P-bass timbre (without the boominess) courtesy of the passive MJS pickup upgrade, and the Hipshot Drop D lever adding versatility. Also durable and relatively inexpensive to be leave on a guitar stand, albeit a Hercules, on a sailboat.

That's 5, innit.
