My new Rickenbacker 4003!

I picked up this baby for $1000 off of craigslist locally, its a 1990 4003. Its in great condition, with the original case and everything .Whats your opinion on it, did i get a good deal?:bassist:

$1000 for a Ricky is a very good deal unless it is completely trashed (which it clearly isn't). Good job!

Now (as someone said) you have to hold on to it untill you get used to it. They feel strange at first if you are used to playing Fenders-like basses.
 
And play with the tone knobs, different settings for each pickup. My 79 has the new eletronics (cap bypass push pull swith on the treble tone) which makes it even more versitile, I use that all the time!
You will definitely grow into that bass! Enjoy!

I remember trying a few around that time that were like an Oak tree.

Where did that strap come from? I bought a '78 Jetglow 4001 off a guy years ago, and it came with the exact same strap. Is that a Ric strap, or was it just a coincidence that mine had the same one?
