Well, as some of you are aware, Pete Skjold now offers a line of more 'traditional' looking basses. They follow his standard construction techniques and use similar hardware and electronics, but have a more traditional look about them. He has two models, the more 'jazzy' looking Lion's Pride, and the as of yet unnamed (?) 'precise' model. :smug: Me being me, I have one of each on order. :D Here are some progress shots of my Lion's Pride 5:

There is an older thread talking about these basses in general located here.

And if'n you're interested, here is a thread I started with regard to my 'custom P-Bass idea', which it looks like Pete will now offer as a regular model.

Tom.

And I think Im the only one whos not jelous over that top Tom, but only because mine is fairly similar lol. Im being a jerk though and not showing any progress pics of mine this time around. You will see the first progress pic when the bass is actually completed, then I will put together a chronicle thread :)

WOW is that sexy. Great pick on that wood (I'm assuming you chose it yourself?).

Yup. I actually bought a piece just like that off ebay, and then Pete bought more from the same guy. I think that this particular piece is the one that Pete bought after I bought the first one. :D

I think I might have ended up with the one you bought, but maybe not hehe. Pete has a bunch of redwood, but most of it is years away from being ready to use, so I forget :)

I think you did. Those two look really, really similar. I can't wait to see yours! :)
