Yes, it is! And you can pick 34" or 35" scale.

I wouldn't say approximately, the standard position for the C4 is about an inch further south. Much more Musicman than P bass.

Good point. His earlier C4's were a lot further south, like on my old Stage 4 (which was an older pickup, of course):

But I thought that Pete had migrated it north a bit. I guess you have the option of different 'Leo-inspired' locations, eh?

I don't think that Pete has made up any 4-string Model B's yet, but I'll check.

I'm really anxious to check out my custom East preamp, too. I had asked Pete if it was possible to get his Deluxe preamp set up vol/vol, but still retain the option to switch to series mode. In series mode, the two pickups act as one big pickup, so you can't have vol/vol. But here's were John East got really slick. You switch to series mode by pulling up on the first volume knob, which then becomes your master volume (and the 2nd vol is inactive in series mode). Slick!
