there is a switch on the rear of the amp that is under a small cover that you can change voltages.

Is this amp voltage selectable? Is there a switch to go from 110 to 240v or does it auto sense & adjust itself. ...? Or do I HAVE to pay thru the nose and buy from the awful Aus $$ retail prices?

Just pulled the trigger on a blem from Zsounds. I was looking around at prices and the blem was too cheap to pass up. I was talking to a friend who just got a Quilter but it's the only one in town. It will be awhile before I get a chance to hear it. Since the blem came with a full warrantee and a 45 day return policy I figured I had little to lose by trying it out. So while I was searching out pricing and found no one locally has either the Q amp or the MM amp the (MM) one on Zsounds was so cheap I figured what the heck, let's just do it. The kicker that pushed me over the edge was it was only $425.00 !!!!! .....so what's that work out to.....$0.42 PW!!!! 42 cents per watt! That might be a new record. And speaking of records, just for the record they have one more blem @ $425.00 just waiting for another lucky TBer.

The first review on MusiciansFriend says the guy had two and sent them both back because they weren't reliable. Also a member here (Doug Parent, maybe?) had one or two that wouldn't power on or would intermittently shut off.

Full disclosure: Mine actually quit while at home. I went to power on and got nothing. I only had it out on maybe 2-3 gigs.
Very happy it didn't fail 'out there on a gig.'
Spoke to Bobby. He confirmed the problem and said to ship it back. I contacted Sweetwater and they sent a return tag and I received a new one within a few days. I love the amp, but I don't play out anymore without taking a backup. Which is weird. I'm from the days of buy once cry once. Why buy 2wice? :unsure:

I carry a backup amp too these days....funny thing is, its a Behringer B4500H...and the Behringer has never failed in 10 years...LOL

Although I would love to trust Peavey, these days I just can't. The two bass heads they just released are both problematic with heat apparently. My ValveKing II 50-watt guitar combo broke within a week, too (bad boost switch). For me, I just don't trust Peavey anymore.
