Sounds like too much work to me. I want to connect wirelessly to the amp in the audience's backside.....I want it in my watch.........

Kosmos C is a bass harmonic enhancer that works by principles of psycho-acoustics. Kosmos C is designed to make smaller bass speaker enclosures (such as 112 cabs) sound larger by creating an illusion of increased bass. This is because the human ear perceives certain combinations of tones as one single tone that is extremely low in frequency. Technically, you are adding more bass when you use this feature, but you are adding upper bass content that is easier for speakers to handle, and that doesn’t eat up power amplifier headroom as much as simply boosting low EQ. This feature is especially useful when using extended range basses such as a 5-string bass with a low B string.

Which SMPS is driving this one?
I believe that the amp is a home rolled unit rather than any of the usual modules. That was part of the project...ground up.

To me, that's the most exciting part. Hearing how this power section does.
So it's a HPF essentially? Cuts out the super lows so that more audible bass is clearly heard.
This is the Peavey implementation of the Waves "Maxxbass" type of DSP. Bobby has gone into some detail about it previously. I'm all for it and think that people who are using undersized cabs (aka cabs that are of the 'micro' variety that trade box volume for deep low end extension) are going to find this to be a great boon to their stage rig.
I have used the Waves hardware version at home for my small bookshelf home speakers as well as having done so with my little Alesis M1 powered monitors, and they do exactly as described. I also own the Maxxbass VST/AU plug ins for recording (Which does the same kind of processing), and have found that it's entirely effective in making bass audible in situations where bass isn't generally present (crappy car speakers, boom boxes, computer speakers).
