Double Bass Naming your Bass? (DB forum thread)

Is it a 1/2, 3/4 or 4/4 size?
Your "Juzek", I mean.

Careful. Basses are like kittens: once you name one you have to keep it.

Yeah, but like a kitten, it still won't come to you when you call its name.

Yikes! Touchy aren't we? It was just a joke
But you're right. I didn't read your post. I read the first three or four which were BGs with photos, and then scrolled down to the last post in the queue, which just happened to be yours, to make my comment. It wasn't directed towards you or any other individual.

I kinda thought that your comment was directed more in general; nonetheless my post was singled out and I wasn't in the mood at the time for bashers in the thread — all too often people chime in on threads poo-pooing whatever the threads about, and I just don't get why — if you're not interested in the topic at hand, why post?
I don't like Cornflakes, but I don't go around pooping on other people's cereal just 'cause I don't like what they're eating.

Anyway, Manopause moment has passed, I've taken my shots of medication (Doc prescribed Talisker tonight)...

We're good.

Is this an insult to my beloved Carvins???

 :laugh:Nah, not at all!

"Carvin'" as in "Carving" ... Carvin Knife which then led to that old animation I used to like. It's not as funny as I remember it though.
Your kids might know the animator's more recent work: "Ed, Edd and Eddie".

As most ships are given female names, perhaps "Carlita Carvin"?
