your ax looks spectacular! nice job on the 'mods'. congratulations on your new instrument!

Thanks. The bass went through quite a makeover:
  • Factory pickup replaced with Aguilar 60's Era
  • Factory black pickguard replaced with Fender PV '63 tortoise shell
  • Factory bridge replaced with Fender vintage threaded saddle bridge
  • Tug bar drilled and installed
  • Chrome covers drilled and installed
  • Roundwounds replaced with Fender 9050 flats
  • Fully shielded cavities
  • Noble pots, SoZo cap, and Kimber wire

i've been entertained by modding/upgrading/assembling for a decade, now --- it's a really gratifying experience to take an ax from one place/space and make it into another, better one! although many folks don't want to be bothered by the work involved, others don't realize what a player can get with a little 'elbow grease' and patience. i applaud both your efforts and the results! ;)

That’s beautiful! I wouldn’t have ever considered any shade of red and tort (on purpose, at least) before I saw the Fender Pino CS Precision.
After seeing yours, a CAR Precision is definitely going to be on the shortlist for my next Warmoth build.
Congratulations!

The red + tort combo really makes sense from a design standpoint. There is a ton of red in tortoise shell; they compliment each other very naturally.
