NBD: Buttercream goodness

Really love this color! I also have a Player Series P bass and can't believe how good these basses are. zero flaws on this one and no sharp edges at all, sounds killer too. These new alnico Vs they are putting in these are some of the best pickups Ive heard yet. Vintage sound but a bit of a modern vibe too. These Player Series are just as good, if not better, than the MIA standards from just a few years ago IMO. If you are on the fence about one of these new P or J basses, get one!

Different strokes for different folks. I don't care WHAT color guard you put on that bass, it's gonna look awesome!

Nice solid bass. Love the color. Yea its a personal thing the white guards just don't do it for me. I agree with the earlier poster. You will be really surprised how much the color of the pick guard changes the whole look. The Warmoth site has a great option where you can pick different guards to see how it would look. Beware you might get a serious case of gas.

I played a Player series P bass for the first time last weekend and was floored by it. It killed in every way possible. Is it me or did they change the neck shape on these vs. the old Standard series? The one I played had a pretty fat profile where I remember the Standard Precision necks feeling more like a Jazz bass. Either way it felt great and sounded amazing.

Love my Buttercream Player P. Fender did it right on these, solid build quality, excellent tone, and easy to play. To the above poster, yes I notice my neck feels thinner, as front to back.

It really is a quality, no-nonsense bass that requires no mods and gets the job done.

Nice, nice, nice...it's a beautiful bass

I wanted a Precision in this color, but Sweetwater were out, so I got the Tidepool Precision instead.

One of the best necks ever!

Although the player series is a great bass at a great price. They don't have the graphite rods, string through body, and the better tuners that the MIAs had a few years ago.
