NBD: I finally got my Nash p-Bass back!!

I haven't been by in a while, and I suspect they may have closed the doors with COVID, buy I'd think they be open now. The current website doesn't list any of there gear they did before, so maybe the webstore is being revised.

I used to go in there a lot and lived close by for a while. In those days they never had any bass gear and for some reason always carried Randall amps, a lot of them. I imagined that Randall and Mesa must be related somehow. The store had a very heavy metal guitarist vibe but from the website it seemed to have changed from that.

Congrats on the new bass!

I'm not much into relics. I wrote Nash off as just another Fender copy using parts. That was until I play a few. To me, it's like someone took your favorite style bass, picked the best one, completely tweaked it to perfection, road tested it, then gave it to you when it was perfect. I don't own one, but I probably will. I'm a believer.

Owned many fenders and copies and played a lot more. I can count on one hand the number that impressed me as much as the few Nash basses I played.

That’s a perfect description. I’ve owned a lot of precision basses, looking for the right fit. I’ve had old Fenders, new Fenders, Fender Custom Shop and every knock-off in between. With the exception of Modern Vintage basses, the only one that fits me just right is the Nash. :thumbsup:

How are they able to use that headstock shape???? I wondered that years ago when they had no logo and I still do now...

Cool bass, I'd try one but Mesa Hollywood is "online only" still.... Which is how somebody else can come in and eat their lunch...

So this black beauty just arrived from Mesa-Boogie/Hollywood. It sounds and plays just as nice as the one I let go. I did a string change and a quick setup and this thing is fire. I dig the color, the matte finish, the gold anodized scratchplate and the fat tone of the Lollar pickup. I’m not a huge relic fan but this one is tastefully done.

This bass is lightweight (8lb 3oz) & tight. The action is ridiculous and it has that nice rasp when I dig in. I couldn’t be happier.

Any Nash fans out there?
