NBD: Next Thursday Can't Come Fast Enough

So after dabbling with virtually every brand I can get my hands on, and multiple pick-up/pre combinations, I've come to the conclusion that I really only want 2 basses in my arsenal. A 4 string P-bass, and a 5 string Spector.

With that in mind, I sold my 3 other basses and have placed an order for this beauty. :D

Yes, I know it's a Road Worn...so scoff all you want...but I don't give a flying monkey deuce. :D
I wanted a bass that's light weight, nitro finish, maple neck, split P, and 50's styling. This bass fits that bill. :)

Now all I have to do is wait for it to arrive. lol This is going to be a looooooong week.

I share your feelings regarding P-bass and Spector. FWIW, I have the newer high-mass bridge that Fender started using on the American Standards in 2008 on my Jazz V and it has been nothing but rock-solid and easy to use. I think you'll be happy with the bridge AND the bass. Never played a RW Fender that I didn't like.

Well, the bridge isn't the HMV from the American Standards but I have used it before on my MP Jazz. It's a solid bridge. Don't know how it compares to a real BA2, though.

OK...I didn't even know they were making a BA-style bridge. I had a BA on a Geddy Lee Jazz back when they first came out around '97-98. That Fender version certainly LOOKS the part.

It definitely works well. No saddle walk. Good tension. Easy adjustment. I've never used a BA2 for more than the 2 minutes playing a bass with one in the store, so I can't really compare the 2 but I'm hoping they're on par. :D

That said, I might order a BA2 just for the looks. lol I think it looks more...uhmn...badass? lol

Anything finished in Nitro is going to end up Roadworn looking anyway after awhile. Now you'll just add your own wear to what's already there and it will have its own uniqueness.

Sweet bass, and if it's built anything like my Nate Mendel sig P (also roadworn;)), I think you'll love it. Pics when you get it!

I applaud your attitude. You know what you want, and your getting it. Eff anyone who scoffs at any players choice of gear. Let the music do the talking!:bassist:
Oh yea, congrats on your new instrument! I'm looking forward to the pictures, and your review.

Thanks for all the kind comments, guys. :D Reviews & pics will DEFINITELY be coming, as soon as it arrives...hopefully I don't die of waiting. hahaha
