NBD: Warmoth Jaguar Bass!

Very cool!
Visually there's a lot going on there. The combination of the blocks against the darker neck and the varying visual theme of the pick-ups are just a bit more than what I'd look for in that platform. I can certainly get with the function/flexibility thing, however, and what's there is executed cleanly.
Nice Man! Visually, it's almost like a P-Ray with T-Bird overtones.

thanks man. the main reason for three pickups is because I utilize dual outputs, and the Model 1 is there for the lows, and I wanted to be able to get more than just one tone out of the "top end". also, I've been playing a bass that was a p/j bass for a little over 9 years, so I'm used to having a pickup there to rest my thumb on.

something that struck me, though...in the "All 3" clip when I butcher "A Farewell to Kings" by Rush about 4:27 in, is it just me, or am I getting pretty freaking close to Geddy's Rickenbacker tone from the album version?!?.....

Very cool bass, Hachi! Kudos for building exactly what you want, rather than following the cookie-cutter mold so many of us go by.

I missed it, but do both output jacks carry the signal from all three pickups? Or is the neck pickup routed to it's own output jack?

And what is your live rig downstream from this bass?

sorry, I'm in the middle of moving. I'll try to get the video done asap. as a quick summary, the dual output jacks are an idea I stole from Billy Sheehan. the jack closest to the neck has all three pickups going out of it in mono mode, the other one just has the middle and bridge. when two cords are plugged in, it automatically switches to stereo mode. the Model 1 goes to the jack nearest the neck, and I activate the tone cut to emphasize the lows and it goes to one amp that is EQ'd for lows and slight low mids. the middle and bridge go to the other output and they go another amp EQ'd for mids and highs.

as far as the rig, it's not complete yet (cab is almost done), but the "treble" side goes to a Peavey Valve King 100 all tube guitar head and that goes to the 4x10 side of an LDS cab. the "bass" side goes to an SWR Workingman's 4004 and that goes to the 1x18 side of said LDS cab. about the cab, it's a "two in one" setup. it's the physical size of a fridge cab, but it's two separate cabs in one enclosure. the top is a sealed 4x10 with a 6.5" midrange driver, and the bottom half is a ported 1x18. both halves have separate inputs and both are completely independent of each other.

No, you should be able to use either jack in mono mode.
When only one cable is plugged in, the unused jack's break terminal is carrying that jack's output to the other output jack.
When two cables are plugged in, both break terminals are disconnected, so the signals stay separate.

For anyone interested, here is the wiring diagram for the setup Hachi did.

yea, paint job is anything but blotchy. their paintwork is incredible, for sure. also, Line6Man, it doesn't work that way. only that one jack has the mudbucker going to it in mono mode. I guess something wasn't done right. either way, there's the wiring diagram for those that can understand it.

Something is wrong with your break terminals then.
When done properly, either jack will work for mono mode.
