Since I like EA Stuff I saved that pic of the CM 208 that you posted.
Here's Johnny only now he's lighter by about 10 lbs.

See that little thing on the bottom that people use to prop it up?It should have a handle on top of the cab so that it's easier to pick up with one hand and schlep. Even a strap handle would do the trick. The Mline whizzy is a cool cab but the handle placement doesn't make sense for something that most people will carry with one hand.

That's what I was thinking.almost looks like they took the m-line wizzy cab and modified it to hold two 8's and a tweeter. I'm interested to hear how this turns out.

Huh. I carry my VL208s by that thing all the time. Put the short side on my leg and it balances pretty well. I hate all the rest of their handle placements otherwise. Mline is the worst offender.ps I don't find the tilt back handle to be much use as a carrying handle.

.All dynamic cone speakers are rather inefficient. Some of the electrical energy from the amplifier is transformed into sound, but much more is lost as heat. So any type of speaker we use, no matter what type of magnet it employs, has to deal with a lot heat. The speaker's voice coil gets hot and some of this heat is transferred to the surrounding air and some is absorbed by the speaker's magnetic structure. Some types of magnets are more tolerant of higher temperatures than others. That has been one of the drawbacks with neodymium magnets in the past, however speaker manufactures like Eminence seem to be doing a better job of solving this problem more recently.
The type of enclosure, transmission line or otherwise, really doesn't have much to do with the high temperature stability of neodymium magnets. I think that EA is just taking the time to get the drivers right here, which they would have to do no matter what type of magnet is used. It's not at all not easy to design a new driver and get it to do what you want it to.
