New 3leaf Pedal???

very cool!

urm..... Kesslaricals printout looked SO freaking nice that i had my singer (who does graphic design) help me clean up something i put together in Photoshop. then we had a local sign place print it on vinyl stickers.

spencer, i tried looking in the thread im not sure if this was mentioned..

where any circuit changes made from the 2nd set of prototypes to the production models your about to make?

i've been playing almost exclusively double bass lately, but in about 2 weeks am starting work on a project where i'll be using this pedal a lot.. cant wait to get re-aquatinted with it

I think the only change I made was changing some capacitors to move the range a bit higher.

oh yah, the place i ordered the stickers from had a minimum that they had to charge me, so i just told them to fill up as big a sheet as what that paid for. so i have 4 more of those. if anybody that got in on the Black Box Of Pre-release Happiness digs that and wants one, shoot me a pm and i can mail one to you.

Are there any good sound sample available?

Anybody know/speculate how will this differ from the other 3-Leaf products, MXR and Source Audio's take on filters? And where is best placement of this on a board?

Also, what's been the experience vis-a-vis the tone of the Proton for finger style vs, picking? Does using a pick really impact the usefulness and tone of it in a negative way? My past experience is that using a pick produces really disappointing results with the filters I've tried in the past. And let's not get into a fingers vs. picks thing here. Lots of threads on that already. Just want to focus on any tone/ sound/effectiveness issues with this pedal.

Sound samples are coming soon. I like to put filters after everything except delay (or in the case of the GR2, I put everything in the effects loop). This a very different design from the MXR and Source Audio units. The MXR is an IC-based design that operates somewhat like a DOD FX25, and the Source Audio filter is digital.

As far as pick playing goes, I play with a pick a lot, and I wouldn't design anything that didn't sound good with a pick. I'll make sure to do some pick playing when I get sound samples recorded.

You're a good man! For example, the Source Audio bass products IMHO sound horrid with a pick. It loses all it's "balls." Looking forward to hearing the samples,
