New Aguilar SL110 cabs.

I've done the same thing. Since I'm up there in age with back issues I wanted a highly portable set up that was still professional sounding. I couldn't decide between getting 2 of the Aguilar SL110 's or 2 Genzler 10 " Arrays so ended up with both thinking I'd keep the set up I liked best and sell the other 2 speakers. But the thing is, I liked them both equally and could never decide between one set over the other. The Arrays have a velvety smooth top end with great dispersion and are very slightly more efficient. The SL110's have no tweeter but even so the top end is a little more edgy than on the Arrays and it has more authority on the bottom end remaining tight. Every time I switch from one set to the other, the one I'm playing is the one that sounds the best. So for now at least, I have a set of the SL110 's and a set of the Genzler 10" Arrays. I can actually hook up all 4 speakers at once with the Kinetix 800 running at 2 ohms. I've tried it one time in the house and it about knocked the paint off the walls, would handle about any outdoor situation.

I cannot believe I was able to find a new TH350 with its new bag as well.

It fits this little stack much better than the noisy AG500.

Since the little 110’s are very mid focused with a tight bottom, I dig it.
Especially at low volumes it makes a good small gig or practice rig.
It’s a nice change from my really small Markbass 2x8 combo or my Mesa Subway stack.

A pair of SL110's with the TH-350 will get pretty darn loud, you could definitely do gigs with it. With PA support not even a question. For a practice rig it's nearly overkill. If I had to nitpick, I wish they had made the TH-350 2.67 ohm compatible so you could hook up a 3rd cab. I have the same nitpick about the Mesa D 350. The Genzler MG-350 trumps the other 2 amps in that regard and the Kinetix used with SL110's makes them sound so much bigger than their size suggests, you could run four of those cabs. I always wondered what four separate 10" cabs would sound like compared to one 4x10 cab using the same speakers. My gut feeling is that four separate cabs would sound better, but at greater expense.

We learned that the vast majority of players looking for a 350 watt amp had no use for driving below a 4 ohm load, and valued a fan-less amp way more.

I would think this would be the majority of cases.

I definitely bought this set up to give me something smaller specifically to jam at the house instead of running my larger Subway setup.
Put all of the miles on it at home and at small gigs to help keep the Mesa feeling new.

About as safe as this. I haven't had any issues and haven't babied them. Just use common sense and your ears.

Mechanical damage is cumulative, so while some may suggest no problem, deterioration of suspension components reduces long term reliability. I have a ton of aging data on driver components ents to know very well the metrics involved.

I'd love to see what Mesa could come up with in a single 10" cab. A pair would make a nice mini rig used in conjunction with something like the Mesa D-350. A combo might be interesting also. Aguilar recently came out with one, I believe using the same speakers that are in the SL110. I would love to audition one sometime just to see how it compares to 2 separate SL110's along with the now discontinued TH-350.
