The SL110 should really be looked at as one half of a DB210 cabinet, it uses ceramic drivers. Weight is also one half that of a DB210. I'm driving a pair with a Kinetix 800. They'll get very loud and still maintain their composure.

New Aguilar SL110 cabs.

The SL110 should really be looked at as one half of a DB210 cabinet, it uses ceramic drivers. Weight is also one half that of a DB210. I'm driving a pair with a Kinetix 800. They'll get very loud and still maintain their composure.
Exactly right. And the DB210 is an excellent cabinet. I used one for years until the weight became too much for my arthritic back. But for younger, healthy players it is a great compact solution. I'd think two SL110s would approximate the DB210 sans a tweeter.
I was able to get some of my gear that shipped today from my old house and hook this little rig up.
It sounds good, but man are the Aguilar fans still so noisy for their size.
I think their first generation AG700 did sound a lot quieter. This newer one also sounds a little more less colored and hollow.

I have an AG700 V1. The fans are pretty noisy but I wouldn't call it's tone hollow. In fact, there is a mid presence and smoothness to it's tone.
I owned two of the first gen and they were not as noisy as the is newer one, even though their fan was loud.
They definitely sounded fuller.

What did you learn about the cabs that you didn't like, too heavy?
The real issue is that the head is noisy with its fan. If I don’t keep the head I won’t keep the cabs, which is the main issue.

You could get a Mesa D350 which has no fan or a Genzler Magellan 350 which I also have. If it has a fan I've certainly never heard it. Both are great matches for those cabs. The Aguilar TH 350 if you can find one. I occasionally use that one also with the SL110's, it's nearly a perfect pairing .
Yes, I've owned a Genzler Magellan 350 and currently own both Mesa D350 and Tonehammer 350. The Tonehammer 350 is much quieter than the AG500, the Magellan 350 practically noiseless and the Subway D350 is perfectly noiseless.
All match perfectly with two SL110s.
And they're all a smaller footprint.
I was able to find a new Aguilar TH 350, so I bought it with its bag.
I think this will be the 4th one I’ve owned, so maybe I’ll try to keep this one!
And yes, the 350’s fan is so much nicer.

I love my new Kinetix amp. Though I confess I paired it with 2 of the Genzler 10” Bass Array’s. It sounds so epic
I modded my TH500 to have silent fans. It’s amazing how loud the fans used to be and now you can’t hear them at all.

I've done the same thing. Since I'm up there in age with back issues I wanted a highly portable set up that was still professional sounding. I couldn't decide between getting 2 of the Aguilar SL110 's or 2 Genzler 10 " Arrays so ended up with both thinking I'd keep the set up I liked best and sell the other 2 speakers. But the thing is, I liked them both equally and could never decide between one set over the other. The Arrays have a velvety smooth top end with great dispersion and are very slightly more efficient. The SL110's have no tweeter but even so the top end is a little more edgy than on the Arrays and it has more authority on the bottom end remaining tight. Every time I switch from one set to the other, the one I'm playing is the one that sounds the best. So for now at least, I have a set of the SL110 's and a set of the Genzler 10" Arrays. I can actually hook up all 4 speakers at once with the Kinetix 800 running at 2 ohms. I've tried it one time in the house and it about knocked the paint off the walls, would handle about any outdoor situation.
