Well. I traded an ampeg 210av for an sl110.

Definitely an upgrade. I really like the sound of this cab with my GK head. Now I want to buy a second one!

So, the one 10 of the SL110 sounds better than the two 10's of the Ampeg? How would you compare these 2 cabs? Yes, I can definitely vouch for getting a 2nd SL110, it will get you the full 200 watts power out of your GK head and double your speaker area pushing more air. These little SL110's with ceramic drivers while may not be the loudest speakers out there have some bottom end depth to them that I think would embarrass some 15" bass cabs out there.

Yes they sound great as a pair, I’m still trying to find a chocolate brown one to add to my single.

I guess this is subjective and just my opinion, but yes. I do think it sounds better. The Aguilar SL110 has what I would describe as a very big, round, 'balanced' sound. It cuts everything off above 5k so it's not very hi-fi sounding but it goes down to 41hz. It does sound like a bigger speaker to me.

I can't say if it's perceivably louder because I never cranked either one with a drummer. I'm using these basically as practice amps in my room.

The Ampeg 210av was a really cool little cabinet but it's kind of a novelty. It only goes down to about 58-60hz.. so to my ear it was missing a lot.

I just got one of these in brown as well as a brown TH350, it’s a surprisingly good sounding little rig, more than enough oomph to practice with my cover band. With any of my 8 ohm Genz Benz cabs it is a completely gig worthy stack. I have used a Tonehammer 350 and the pedals in the past and I was always happy with the tone, very glad to have this one back in the fold.
