i wouldn't mind a couple changes. like a better heavier duty dolly that maybe uses two screws to attach instead of one. or footcups on the bottom for the dolly. or latches like vintage blue uses instead of those crap stock latches. You've got to admire the brand loyalty and cult following of Ampeg owners.
310 posts and nearly 14,000 views regarding an amp that is still buyable on the used market for potentialy less than a new one, from a company who has had a really bad track record in recent years, and with the hopes that there will be no changes or "improvements" for the new version.
screw 'em!(The Fender tweed and black face guys haven't had this luxury in a long time)
slowly i turn...step by ste...er...Then again, maybe some of us are just living in the past on this animal.
I had one ages ago and sold it (bought it for $150, sold it for $350) I regret it; it was a wonderful one trick pony
already happened. b-15r...mid 90's. stiffed.I too would want more power for new. In fact a 100 watt SVT in a Portaflex box would be of interest to some.
at least you're man enough to admit itAnd yes, jealous of those that are in a band situation where low power (and guaranteed professional PA support) is the norm.

You know, if they updated this a little bit, say with a class D amp, switching power supply, and neo 15, they'd really have something!

sorry, i'm not seeing the high tech angle. to me it looks identical to the old ones.
No pricing yet, but best guess of the staff there (totally unofficial) is $5,000 or more.
