New ampeg speculation - A true B15 Reissue?

not that i'm all that interested in a hybrid fliptop, but i'd rather they be in a cab like the b100r than the ba115. b100r came pretty close to fliptop goodness.

Hmmm, not sure you understood what I meant (unless _I_ did not understand you...) : my guess on the hybrid is the electronics of a BA115T put inside some kind of fliptop design.

Using the B100R electronics wouldn't be compliant with the notion of "hybrid" ;)

good point, jay. well i guess we'll see in january.

We will have lots more info on the Heritage B-15 (and the other two amps) over the next couple months leading up to NAMM.

First off, we should say that the Heritage B-15 is an extremely limited edition run. Only 50 will be made. The heads and cabs will all be hand numbered. As you have speculated and seen, they are completely made in the US.

I've just read this thread from beginning to end and... I can't believe that Ampeg would go to all this bother to hype the bejesus out this "Heritage B-15" and then state that only 50 are going to be made???

1-x of 50 will probably be $5000 per copy.

I predict a bait and switch... make 50 Made in the USA, then six months later release a 100% Chinese or even hybrid model to sell at the $2500 price point.

Bad Ampeg.
