The DoubleBack is my resident comp pedal. The "high" mode (rolls that portion of the unaffected signal back into the compressed signal) is essentially worthless IMO. OTOH, the "mids" and "full" are very useful. The price is right but I'm curious as to whether it is a significant departure from the DoubleBack. We'll know shortly.

aluminum alloy used in aircraft goes through a much more vigorous manufacturing and inspection process then say a roll of aluminum foil does...

so although the term is somewhat vauge, it does imply the same as aircraft grade hardware or aircraft grade composites. There are also special resins approved for aircraft/aerospace use.

It does bother me when these terms are used out of context for marketing purposes though...

I've had one for a couple of weeks now. No experience with the former comp that SD has come out with, but I enjoy this one. I use it for my ampless gigs where I need some semblance of control. Using the blend and the low filter works really well to help tweak my sound for this situation.

Although a lot of aluminium used in aircraft is bog standard stuff. The 'aircraft grade' is only for specific components.
