New bass! I nearly died.

Hello! I just picked up my new Ibanez SRX695DX today from the music store and I nearly died. 5 piece neck through maple and bubinga 5 string :) Enough of my babble, no pics, no bass!

Going to have to thank the guitarist for this one...
We were in Long & McQuades (Canadian version of GC) and decided to go to a small local shop just to look around. Well, I went to check the basses (hooray for $1400 New roadworn Fenders :/) and I saw this one! I diddled for about an hour on a TE stack; trying all the knobs and settings, getting a feel for it really. This was Sunday. Today is pay day and guess what I bought :)

Awesome bass! My local shop had one for a long time just like that. If it's anything like the one that was at my shop (which I'm sure it was considering the consistency I've seen in Ibanez) then those photos don't do that thing anywhere near justice. Beautiful bass. The sound was outstanding as well. I would have picked one up if I had the cash as well. Congrats!

Pretty bang on with that. The photos give it a purply tinge; it is really darker, more grey like a riverbed.
