Not many people seem to like SRX, or Ibanez for that matter...I am glad mine can sway a bit! I am really not brand dependent. My first was an Ibanez (cheap jumpstart pack) My second was an Epiphone Goth Thunderbird, and now this.

There isn't the universal adoration you get with a Fender Jazz or Precision but from all the posts I've read it seems that for every one person that doesn't like Ibanez there is another one that loves the brand.

I'm playing an SR400QM (quilted maple but nowhere as nice as yours) and I love it and now I have GAS for one of the higher models like an SR700 or one of the Prestige models!

Admittedly though, I think the SRXs look kinda bland but have only seen the solid finish ones, yours is definitely a beauty

The BTB finishes are also pretty sweet but hate the skinny pointed horns.

Just noticed something...Theres a 9V slot, in theory this bass should be active (Haven't opened the cavity yet) however the site is telling me it is passive...Anyone know for sure?

According to [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] It is active. The pickups are passive. Unless I am reading it wrong.

I must say, ibanez doesn't always get the best reputation but they can put out a damn beautiful bass that plays super smooth for a very low price! Awesome steal man, enjoy that thing!!!
