I had a great time with the cab last night. Takes eq really really well. It put a nice pillow under the band but I could hear every note. The biggest test for me is at the end of a two hour gig when everything can get "smeary" in your ears and head... Not last night.
The TH500 was set at: gain 9, drive 11:30, mid freq 9, mid 1:30, bass noon, treble 2. Tweet on cab at 10:30. Depending on the tune I adjusted bass at the bass. The band is a 5 piece drum, guitar, key, sax, and bass. All originals.
I loved how effects sounded through the cab. My Octamizer has never sounded better. Clear and pounding. Filter twin had a ton of detail and was dripping funk. I usually dislike using chorus, but It stayed focused and didn't get too "swimmy." Great upper mid detail on every effect.
It was one of our best gigs in a room we all know well. Everyone thought the bass sound was a huge reason. The clarity was stunning... Again all while pumping bass. I could go burpy finger style to slap to thick and chewy all with hand and pickup placement. It reacted superbly to everything I threw at it.
At the end, the sound guy said he never really had me in the mains and the cab covered the room without being overly loud or boomy. He saw me go to pick it up and asked if I needed a hand... Nope.
