NEW BUILDING

The less Bud Light you guys drink, the more there will be for me and Greg and my wife (yes, she loves the finer things in life, too)..............
It doesn't make sense how someone can have such good taste when it comes to basses but just the opposite when it comes to beer selection. All I can guess is, since you have spent so much money on the bass your budget only allows you to buy Bud Lite which technically and I am using the term loosely allows you to say you drink beer. :eyebrow:

I still say you guys are wasting time with beer. If you're going to have a drink, make it count - Crown Seven.

I will tell you that while I appreciate a good whiskey or bourbon, a GOOD beer will kick your teeth right back down your throat as well. And a barleywine will go find your teeth, drag them back out kicking and screaming, then kick them back down your throat to make the point clear.

;)

Woo-hoo! Rough-in inspection is scheduled for tomorrow!

We thought we were done with the electrical, then our electrician pointed out on Friday that we have no exit signs and emergency lights. Crap. Nothing a few hundred bucks wouldn't fix, but it did add a day or two delay...

The drywall guy says his crew can be in here on Friday, and I imagine he can be done by Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. That leaves us a solid 2.5 weeks to get paint and flooring done. No problem. :rollno::D

Everybody please cross your fingers that there are no major issues with the inspection!! :help:

This is exactly what I told my dentist, the issues with my teeth have nothing to do with the lack of flossing twice a day.

Oh, wow! This door shaped object can actually be used as an exit! Whooda thunk it?!? :rollno: :D

LOL. I kid, I kid. I can actually see the logic behind this particular requirement. If the power goes out, these exit signs are battery backed up. So you can get near the door based on the sign, and then feel around for the knob (well, it actually has to be a lever called a "panic bar" which is something we'll have to install on this door before final inspection).

Oh - and here's all of the track lighting installed and wired in the showroom. We still need to put the actual lighting heads on the track, but we won't do that until much later when we know where stuff will be getting hung on the walls...

Well, I suggest you make the "panic bar" low enough for feet sticking out from powerchairs! :smug:

:D

God Bless, Ray

Yep, that's the idea (for someone with dexterity issues to be able to open the door on their own in an emergency). We also have to remove the deadbolt for that same reason. That's a sensible regulation I can get behind.

Woo-hoo!! We just had our rough-in inspection, and we've just got a few electrical corrections to make. Everything else is fine. That shouldn't even be an issue since we can have the corrections completed and inspected tomorrow before the drywall guys show up on Friday.

Hot damn!!!
