NEW BUILDING

Dang - we're 0 for 2 today. The drywall guy was supposed to start taping & mudding the walls today. But, no, he now says he'll be here tomorrow. So no prob - we'll go pickup the paint that we ordered last Thursday (and was supposed to be delivered today) so we can start painting the ceiling black. "Sorry, the paint hasn't been ordered yet." Arggghhh!!!!
Stuff has to go pretty much perfect from here until June 15th if we're going to get it done in time. This day has been less than perfect thus far. Double Arrrggghhhh!!!

Well, we got one little thing done today. We had to fill the trench in the concrete that we cut to send power & telephone/internet from the wall out to where we'll set a desk/cash register thingy. Pretty simple concrete work, just filling up a hole. We still have to do the more critical patching work to fill in all the holes left in the concrete slab by screws and whatnot over the years that this building housed a flooring retailer. Ugh, lot's of knee time... and I hate knee time.
If all goes according to plan, you guys will never see this work. It should be buried under hardwood floor sometime next week...

Ahhh....telco cabling. Now you're speaking my language. 
Kudos on running it so elegantly. Every time I walk into a building and see power poles - especially from a high ceiling - my CDO kicks in and gives me the shakes.

It's an engineered oak flooring material. It comes in 2.5" T&G'd strips like the real deal, but it's got a man-made back with a veneer of oak on top. So it's suitable for gluing directly to the concrete slab, which is what we needed.
It gets sanded and finished just like a real wood floor, too. It should look awesome when it's all done!
Boom! We're all taped and corner beaded. The mud is flying now, complete with a couple of guys on stilts. Very cool!

It's all very WHITE. Danny and I are a really itching to put some color in there. We want to be slinging paint on Saturday in the worst way... cross your fingers, everybody!
Yeah, this crew was another jaw dropper. I've done enough drywall in my day to know that a) I don't like doing it, and b) I'm not very good at it. These guys made it look so easy. There's no doubt at all that they're pros.

As long as you aren't a crazy gringo that calls the Migra in lieu of pay, you should be golden.
